AFTER THE LOVE HAS GONE
Earth, Wind and Fire

For awhile, to love was all we could do
We were young and we knew
In our eyes were alive
Deep inside we knew our love was true
For awhile, we paid no mind to the past
We knew love would last
Every night, something right
Would invite us to begin the day

Something happened along the way
What used to be happy was sad
Something happened along the way
And yesterday was all we had

And, oh, after the love has gone
How could you lead me on
And not let me stay around ?
Oh, oh, oh, after the love has gone
What used to be right is wrong
Can love thats lost be found ?

For awhile, to love each other with all
We would ever need
Love was strong for so long
Never knew that what was
Wrong, oh, baby, wasnt right
We tried to find what we had
Till sadness was all we shared
We were scared
This affair would lead our love into

Something happened along the way
Yesterday was all we had
Something happened along the way
What used to be happy is sad
Something happened along the way
Yesterday was all we had
And, oh, after the love has gone
How could you lead me on
And not let me stay around ?
Oh, oh, oh, after the love has gone
What used to be right is wrong
Can love thats lost be found ?

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, after the love has gone
What used to be right is wrong
Can love thats lost be found ?

BUBBLY

I’ve been awake for a while now
You’ve got me feelin’ like a child now
‘Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tingles in a silly place

And it starts in my toes
And I crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

The rain is falling on my window pane
But we are hiding in a safer place
Under covers staying dry and warm
[Another version of the song says: "Under covers staying safe and warm"]
You give me feelings that I adore

And it starts in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

What am I gonna say
When you make me feel this way
I just mmmmm

And they start in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

I’ve been asleep for a while now
You tuck me in just like a child now
‘Cause every time you hold me in your arms
I’m comfortable enough to feel your warmth

And it starts in my soul
And I lose all control
When you kiss my nose
The feeling shows
’cause you make me smile baby
Just take your time now
Holdin’ me tight

Wherever wherever wherever you go
Wherever wherever wherever you go

wherever you go
I always know
‘Cause you make me smile
Even just for a while

How Time Flies @ 03:17 am

Where I'm at: nook
Sounds: Thank you

I've been trying and wanting to write since Monday but I can't seem to find the right words or even describe what I'm feeling.

It has been 4 days now technically since a dear friend left. I have only known this friend for a little over a month now but it seems like years since we were first introduced.

This person taught me a lot! He is probably one of the most insightful being I have encountered in this lifetime.

Oh hell, I can't even begin to understand what I'm writing about at this particular time...maybe, all I want to say is that I'm gonna miss this person.

So just you know, it's quite different the last 2 days of this week knowing and seeing that you are no longer working at the office. I know that I can still get in touch with you whether it be via email or phone, still, it feels kinda weird and different knowing that you are miles away...

I know you're quite happy to be back home. I never really got to say how much I appreciate everything you taught me. THANK YOU! <*hugs*>

I hope to see you soon! c(",) When will you be back? I hope if and when you do, you'll be staying here longer. :)

A World Without Filipinos

Muhammad Al-Maghrabi became handicapped and shut down his flower and gifts shop business in Jeddah after his Filipino workers insisted on leaving and returning home. He says: “When they left, I felt as if I had lost my arms. I was so sad that I lost my appetite.”

Al-Maghrabi then flew to Manila to look for two other Filipino workers to replace the ones who had left. Previously, he had tried workers of different nationalities but they did not impress him. “There is no comparison between Filipinos and others,” he says. Whenever I see Filipinos working in the Kingdom, I wonder what our life would be without them.

Saudi Arabia has the largest number of Filipino workers — 1,019,577 — outside the Philippines. In 2006 alone, the Kingdom recruited more than 223,000 workers from the Philippines and their numbers are still increasing. Filipinos not only play an important and effective role in the Kingdom, they also perform different jobs in countries across the world, including working as sailors. They are known for their professionalism and the quality of their work.

Nobody here can think of a life without Filipinos, who make up around 20 percent of the world’s seafarers. There are 1.2 million Filipino sailors.

So if Filipinos decided one day to stop working or go on strike for any reason, who would transport oil, food and heavy equipment across the world? We can only imagine the disaster that would happen.

What makes Filipinos unique is their ability to speak very good English and the technical training they receive in the early stages of their education. There are several specialized training institutes in the Philippines, including those specializing in engineering and road maintenance. This training background makes them highly competent in these vital areas.

When speaking about the Philippines, we should not forget Filipino nurses. They are some 23 percent of the world’s total number of nurses. The Philippines is home to over 190 accredited nursing colleges and institutes, from which some 9,000 nurses graduate each year. Many of them work abroad in countries such as the US, the UK, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Singapore.

Cathy Ann, a 35-year-old Filipino nurse who has been working in the Kingdom for the last five years and before that in Singapore, said she does not feel homesick abroad because “I am surrounded by my compatriots everywhere.” Ann thinks that early training allows Filipinos to excel in nursing and other vocations. She started learning this profession at the age of four as her aunt, a nurse, used to take her to hospital and ask her to watch the work. “She used to kiss me whenever I learned a new thing. At the age of 11, I could do a lot. I began doing things like measuring my grandfather’s blood pressure and giving my mother her insulin injections,” she said.

This type of early education system is lacking in the Kingdom. Many of our children reach the university stage without learning anything except boredom.

The Philippines, which you can barely see on the map, is a very effective country thanks to its people. It has the ability to influence the entire world economy.

We should pay respect to Filipino workers, not only by employing them but also by learning from their valuable experiences.

We should learn and educate our children on how to operate and maintain ships and oil tankers, as well as planning and nursing and how to achieve perfection in our work. This is a must so that we do not become like Muhammad Al-Maghrabi who lost his interest and appetite when Filipino workers left his flower shop.

We have to remember that we are very much dependent on the Filipinos around us. We could die a slow death if they chose to leave us.

The One You Love
[Glenn Frey]

I know you need a friend, someone you can talk to
Who will understand what you're going through
When it comes to love, there's no easy answer
Only you can say what you're gonna do
I heard you on the phone, you took his number
Said you weren't alone, but you'd call him soon
Isn't he the guy, the guy who left you cryin'?
Isn't he the one who made you blue?
When you remember those nights in his arms
You know you gotta make up your mind

Are you gonna stay with the one who loves you
Or are you goin' back to the one you love?
Someone's gonna cry when they know they've lost you
Someone's gonna thank the stars above

What you gonna say when he comes over?
There's no easy way to see this through
All the broken dreams, all the disappointment
Oh girl, what you gonna do?
Your heart keeps sayin' it's just not fair
But still you gotta make up your mind

Are you gonna stay with the one who loves you
Or are you goin' back to the one you love?
Someone's gonna cry when they know they've lost you
Someone's gonna thank the stars above

What's your type of Car? @ 10:42 pm

Abbie, you're a Convertible!

Ooo wee! You've got the wind in your hair, the sun on your face, and anyone with two eyes wishing they could nestle into your passenger seat. You're all about top-down, Convertible fun. We're thinking '69 Mustang, '64 Corvette, or Mazda Miata, in cherry red, of course. The car for you embodies youth, freedom, and summertime excitement. You've got a wild outlook on life and are always game for a good time. Since you're comfortable being the center of attention, you zip around town looking sleek and fresh, stealing flirty glances from your rearview mirror. Being so sexy and open, you attract friends, love interests, and joy riders wherever you go. It's no surprise if some hot number pulls alongside to challenge you to a little drag down Lovers Lane. You're the classic party mobile so crank up the music and hit the open road.

Title: Edwin McCain - I Could Not Ask For More lyrics
Artist: Edwin McCain

Lying here with you
Listening to the rain
Smiling just to see the smile upon your face
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
I found all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
Looking in your eyes
Seeing all I need
Everything you are is everything to me
These are the moments
I know heaven must exist
These are the moments I know all I need is this
I have all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
Chorus
I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
Every prayer has been answered
Every dream I have's come true
And right here in this moment is right where I'm meant to be
Here with you here with me

These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
I've got all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more

Chorus

I could not ask for more than the love you give me 'Coz it's all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
I could not ask for more

*Defense Attorney:* Will you please state your age?"

*Little Old Lady:* "I am 86 years old."

*Defense Attorney:* "Will you tell us, in your own words, what happened the night of April 1st?"

*Little Old Lady:* 'There I was, sitting there in my swing on my front porch
on a warm spring evening, when a young man comes creeping up on the porch and sat down beside me.'

*Defense Attorney:* "Did you know him?"

*Little Old Lady:* "No, but he sure was friendly."

*Defense Attorney:* "What happened after he sat down?'

*Little Old Lady:* "He started to rub my thigh."

*Defense Attorney:* "Did you stop him?"

*Little Old Lady: * "No, I didn't stop him."

*Defense Attorney:* "Why not?"

*Little Old Lady:* "It felt good. Nobody had done that since my Abner died 30 years ago."

*Defense Attorney:* "What happened next?"

*Little Old Lady:* "He began to rub my breasts."

*Defense Attorney:* "Did you stop him then?"

*Little Old Lady:* "No, I did not stop him."

*Defense Attorney:* "Why not?"

*Little Old Lady: * "His rubbing made me feel all alive and excited. I haven't felt that good in years!"

*Defense Attorney:* "What happened next?"

*Little Old Lady:* "Well, by then, I was feeling so "spicy" that I just laid
down and told him "Take me, young man. Take me!"

*Defense Attorney: * "Did he take you?"

*Little Old Lady: * "Hell, no! He just yelled, 'April Fool!' And that's when I shot him, the little bastard"

A Spectacular Vacation! @ 10:51 am

Finally, I'm able to write...It's been quite awhile since I last posted an entry here. Well, last weekend was very exciting and enjoyable...truly worthwhile...

We [Alex, Joey, Nicky, Scot, AJ, Faith, Nicey, JP, Den, Aaron, Vaner, Danny, Rhoger, Ish, Chin and I] went to Antulang, Dumaguete.

It was such an experience! We were given Leis when we arrived [*feeling tourists kame*]. There was the infinity pool, the boat ride to Apo Island, the beach that offers practice waves for wannabe surfers, etc.]. We can never thank Alex enough for making us go to Antulang! :) Thanks Alex!

Here's a taste of where we spent the weekend:

Good Day,

We closed the following position/s:
CS Program Manager (1 position) – hired – Ma. Neysa Palacio 02/24/2007
Workforce (Operations Manager) – (1 position) – hired – Ralph Centeno 02/24/2007

From: Carabuena, Beth L.
Sent: Wednesday, February 28, 2007 1:31 AM

Dear All:

This is to announce the following promotions effective February 26, 2007.

• Operations Manager International (COSS/Podium Management) - - - Ralph Centeno

Ralph started working in Sykes in November 2003. He joined West in October 2004 as a Technical Support Representative until his movement as a COS Support Specialist in ELNK where he was thoroughly exposed in the field of Workforce Management. Last July, 2006, he was promoted to the Operations Team Supervisor position in the CHASE Program where his leadership and management skills were honed. Ralph is very analytical and systematic with his work. He has very good technical orientation skills. He is grounded, confident and focused. His passion with numbers will certainly be a plus now that he will assume his new role as the man to be managing all the COSSs in both the Makati and Cybergate sites.

• Client Services Program Manager (CHASE Program) - - - - - Ma. Neysa Palacio

Nice started in WEST last 2004 as a CS agent in ELNK. After seven ( 7) months, she was promoted as a COSS in ELNK due her exemplary performance. On Feb 2006, she assumed the post of the Administrative Assistant of the GM where she was exposed to client relationship and direct interface with all the different Program/Operations in both Makati and Cybergate sites. These experience broadened her appreciation of the contact center challenges, thus when the opportunity for an Operations Team Supervisor came in CHASE, she grabbed the opportunity and made it. This job provided her the competency to develop, coach and mentor agents in production and manage team leaders. From time to time, in addition to her OTS job, she was assigned to assist the manager in handling client visit and preparing reports for the client, thus further strengthening her knowledge and skills in people handling and client interface. Nice is a dedicated and efficient worker, loves numbers and has good interpersonal skills. She will certainly be an asset to this Program.

Here's a toast to all my beautiful girl friends @ 02:04 am

Where I'm at: At Home
Mood: contemplative
Sounds: Hot in Here

Here's for the men who have us, the lucky bastards who had us, and the right ones who will meet us!

Here's something for all the pretty ladies out there and the many reasons why MEN LOVE US!!!

For your info ladies......

Here are a few reasons why guys like girls:

1. They will always smell good even if its ju! st shampoo
2. The way their heads always find the right spot on our shoulder
3. How cute they look when they sleep
4. The ease in which they fit into our arms
5. The way they kiss you and all of a sudden everything is right in the world
6. How cute they are when they eat
7. The way they take hours to get dressed but in the end it makes it all worth while
8. Because they are always warm even when its minus 30 outside
9. The way they look good no matter what they ! wea r
10. The way they fish for compliments even though you both know that you think she's the most beautiful thing on this earth
11. How cute they are when they argue
12. The way her hand always finds yours
13. The way they smile
14. The way you feel when you see their name on the call ID after you just had a big fight
15. The way she says "lets not fight anymore" even though you know that an hour later....
16. The way they kiss when you do something nice for them
17. The way they kiss you when yo! u say "I love you"
18. Actually ... just the way they kiss you...
19. The way they fall into your arms when they cry
20. Then the way they apologize for crying over something that silly
21. The way they hit you and expect it to hurt
22. Then the way they apologize when it does hurt. (even though we don't admit it)!
23. The way they say "I miss you"
24. The way you miss them
25. The way their tears make you want to change the world so that it doesn't hurt her anymore.....

Yet regardless if you love them, hate them, wish they would die or know that you would die without them ... it matters not. Because once in your life, whatever they were to the world they become everything to you. When you look them in the eyes, traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things without trace of a sound, you know that your own life is inevitable consumed within the rhythmic beatings of her very heart. We love them for a million reasons, No paper would do it justice. It is a thing not of the mind but of the heart. A feeling. Only felt.

WOW!!! Finally, its been so long since I last opened LJ.

It's been 2 days since my birthday! I can't even believe it! We've been waiting for Christmas and now its all over. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait another 363 days til next Christmas.

Anyway, whether its fortunate or not, my birthday happens to be Christmas. Too bad, I get to have only 1 present from everybody, if they give me that is....hehehehe. But that's not why I'm writing this down right now. From 10pm of December 24th through 5pm of December 25, I was at home, ASLEEP!!!! I can't believe I slept through my birthday...I wasted a day in my life...doing nothing.

Arghhhhhh.....I wish I could've done something more productive on my birthday.

Oh well, its over and done with. I could spend the rest of my year thinking about what could have been or spend the rest of my year doing what I should have been doing. :)

SHE (Charles Aznavour)

She
May be the face I can't forget
A trace of pleasure or regret
May be my treasure or the price I have to pay
She may be the song that summer sings
May be the chill that autumn brings
May be a hundred tearful things
Within the measure of the day.

She
May be the beauty or the beast
May be the famine or the feast
May turn each day into heaven or a hell
She may be the mirror of my dreams
A smile reflected in a stream
She may not be what she may seem
Inside a shell

She who always seems so happy in a crowd
Whose eyes can be so private and so proud
No one's allowed to see them when they cry
She may be the love that can and hope to last
May come to me from shadows of the past
That I remember till the day I die

She
May be the reason I survive
The why and where for I'm alive
The one I'll care for through the rough and rainy years
Me I'll take her laughter and her tears
And make them all my souvenirs
For where she goes I got to be
The meaning of my life is

She, she, she
